Technical Short: Tax and VAT Update 2024
This webinar will provide an update on HMRC guidance relating to tax and VAT in insolvency, noting any recent and upcoming changes, and associated implications.
Description
As insolvency practitioners, we are recognised as a particular customer group with distinct requirements. We share information about the solvent or insolvent tax payer and then come to a mutual conclusion as to HMRC’s claim, dividend recovery, and on occasion, complex tax affairs pre and/or post appointment, so we need to keep up to date with HMRC and tax issues.
In this webinar, we will look back at HMRC communications throughout the year, noting any changes, required practices and communication directions. We will consider any tax changes that have been introduced in the year just passed, and those changes heading our way, with associated implications. We will take the temperature of the current HMRC/IP relationship and understand what we can both do to improve matters.
