This information-packed session is designed to assist new members to the profession and anyone looking for a detailed refresher on the subject of MVLs.

Members’ voluntary liquidation is the principal process for the return of capital to the shareholders of a solvent company.  Since the company in question will have been profitable, planning ahead for the tax consequences is key; specifically the timing of the winding up resolution and any distribution.

Given too that HMRC has just announced the removal of tax clearance in MVLs, it is important that we understand the consequences of that decision in relation to our solvent winding ups.

In this webinar, we will look at putting the legislation into practice, how and why to plan for an MVL and what documents need to be issued when.  We will look at the tax implications of the distribution and how to protect yourself from risk as insolvency practitioner in the context of the appointment.
